Teal Equity

What is Teal Equity?

Teal Equity is an investment group which specializes in multi-family apartment complexes. We are building a network of individuals who are interested in pooling equity and liquidity together to finance the purchase, renovation, and improvement of 100+ unit apartment complexes.

Our focus is on Class B and C assets in the markets around San Antonio, TX. We would like to answer any questions you may have about this process. Brad Pearson

Brad is the founder of Teal Equity. He is a husband and father of two who was born and raised in the San Antonio area.

He has been in IT operations since 2008. For 10 of those years, he was in a leadership role at a web hosting company. During his time in web hosting, he was responsible for a multi-million dollar facility with over 2000 clients. More responsibilities include coordinating with third party vendors, tracking CapEx and OpEx, as well as project and facility management. Brad is currently focusing on operational excellence in a lead role on a cloud admin team for a government contract.

Brad is currently invested into 252 units in San Antonio, TX.

Abel Pacheco

Senior Advisor

Abel is founder and Principal of 5 Talents Capital.
Abel Pacheco & his wife have been investing in real estate since 2008. Abel is invested in $93MM of Commercial Real Estate, 800+ doors across 5 multifamily apartment communities as an active & passive investor. He is a Principal/GP in 400+ doors and Developing a Class-A multifamily ground-up project.

Abel has a verifiable 10x track growing acquisitions $5MM to $57MM from 2010 to 2016 in the Tech world. He brings 20 years of corporate & entrepreneurial experience, and 13 years in IT, he also helped grow Rackspace from $100M to $1Billion+.

In the professional world, he had 20 years of corporate & entrepreneurial experience. His first entrepreneurial experience was launching a 60+ person, record-breaking, revenue-generating office for Cutco/Vector Marketing while taking a full-time courseload in college.

Ruben Dominguez

Senior Advisor

Ruben Dominguez is founder and Principal of Totem Capital Group. He is also the founder of San Antonio Real Property, LLC, a Texas single family home acquisition company.

Ruben graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business Administration and spent over 12 years in IT leadership roles. Most recently he served as an executive for several Software as a Service (SaaS) companies where he was able to successfully grow and exit a company. Ruben and his wife April have 3 children and live in the San Antonio Metro area.

Totem Capital Group is a Texas real estate investment company specializing in multifamily syndication founded by Ruben Dominguez in 2014.

Totem Capital Group has acquired a real estate investment portfolio of over 500 units and is invested in over $40MM+ of single family and multifamily.

Devin Elder

Senior Advisor

Devin Elder is sole owner of DJE Texas Management Group (DJE), which manages all aspects of acquisition, repositioning, and disposition of single family, land, development, and multifamily projects in Central Texas. DJE has successfully completed over 200 Real Estate renovation projects, with renovation budgets ranging from $10k to $3M+. Devin is a Principal in over 4,000 units of multifamily valued at over $400MM. No investor capital has ever been lost on any DJE project.

The DJE multifamily portfolio is managed by DJE Properties LLC, the company’s in-house property management firm. As of November 2021, DJE Properties manages 2,057 doors with an average occupancy of 95%.

Prior to his Real Estate investing career, Devin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio and enjoyed a near decade-long successful corporate career in Operations, IT, and Marketing roles at two of San Antonio’s largest employers, Rackspace and 3M.
